My oh my it has been busy lately. I've barely come up for air. Holed up in the country with my head down - editing and organizing. Editing a special little project that I directed - which shall only be named once I am allowed to publically annouce it. The organizing is pre-production for the Bravofactual doc - Little Bay Islands - that I am producing with colleague Jason Arsenault. We're shipping off to Newfoundland in April. Sure hope the weather gets better before then! So much to think of - everything from the right kind of camera battery, to car rentals and food budgets. Filmmaking leaves no stone unturned. Really excited to work with Adam Gallant - who will be our 'sound guy' as they say. And Tarek Abouamin as our fearless Cinematographer. More and more my production teams are expanding - and with it comes levels of quality and education that you just can't get to alone.
In other news I did end up receiving the 'Music Video of the Year' award at the 2014 MusicPEI Awards with the fine fellows of Paper Lions for our video for Philadelphia (live sound recorded by Adam Gallant). And that same video is up for ECMA People's Choice Music Video of the Year. Oh awards. Lovely and silly things.
